All of those offer advice on getting started with your trial of Eve Online, getting some ISK together and then making the most out of it. Out of my experience this is the cheapest way to get to know the game in a short amount of time.

Eve Online ISK at mmobux

It seems there is a new price comparison site for Eve Online ISK:

Mmobux is a site that's still in beta but covers already roughly 100 different sellers of EVE ISK. Hopefully most of those farm their currency without the use of bots. Aside from EVE Online they also cover a bunch of other games, though for a lot of them they only cover a handful of providers.

The Eve Online: Trinity expansion will be available on December 5th

In order to achieve its visual goals, CCP developed a new graphics engine, architected for Shader Model 3.0 and above. In this first showcase for the new engine, all ships, stations and stargates have been reconstructed. Eve Online: Trinity employs advanced lighting techniques and complex surface materials to make the highly detailed models even more realistic.

One last thing that one should worry about this new expansion is the machine capacity. Lets hope that our poorly modded pc could withstand what we see in the trailer.

Eve Online Revelations II

Revelations II is the seventh free expansion rolled out in June 19th

The list of update is long and tiresome to read, but hey, its all the goods you will get.

  • Revamped New Player Experience – Optimization and streamlining of the tutorial vastly improves how new players are introduced to EVE Online, making it more fun and easier to start their alter ego existence in space.

Eve online question

From a friend:

I have been pushing around the idea of playing Eve Online. How is the economy of the game? I heard the company that handles the game hired a real life economist to analyze the economy of the game. Is this true? If so, this really gets me interested in the game.

I really love when game companies seem to really care about what is going on in a game and take it as far to hire someone like this to figure out why an economy maybe suffering.

So, beyond that I also wanted to hear any comments from Eve players here on SF. How long have you been playing the game?

What do you like the best about the game?

What do you not like about the game?

My answer:

I had actually tried this thing out by myself for few months with the help from Lexxious...

He should be here to answer your questions soon, but from my perspective, here they are.

How is the economy of the game? I heard the company that handles the game hired a real life economist to analyze the economy of the game:

The economy in the game is player driven, however, there are npc organizations offering basic items for new players for low price to make the game newbish friendly. And yes, they do have realy economist monitering economy. Trade is one aspect that make the game run smoothly due to market tools and system that is so powerful and convenience. They do care so much about economy due to the fact that it is the game with single server which mean they have to moderate the market of hundred-thousand buyers and sellers.  Any system of that size cracked down,  it will be a total disaster.

So, beyond that I also wanted to hear any comments from Eve players here on SF. How long have you been playing the game:

Few months and quit already... I want to play more but running SF consume all my time, I cannot really play any game. But I have personally had played everything we have to offer on this site (Beside... well... "Auto Assault" cough* cough*). So my opinion (It is my mortal opinion which means it will be biased by my preference so STFU if anyone disagree :P) Below is the list of game that I am willing to waste my valuable living days for.

- Dofus - I can play it while doing something else, it does not require fully actived attention. Does not consume large portion of cpu memory, I can actually do all my works while playing it. It has promising future in term of game development.

- Second Life - The only reason is the all my progress in this virtual world could be liquidated into real money with minimum trouble and effort.

- FFXI - It is very very fun in both storyline and gameplay. It is the game that fulfilled my MMO definition "If you can play it alone from the start to the end you better off playing Neverwinter Night". Almost everything in FFXI cannot be accomplished without group effort. It is also backed up by promising developer.

- EVE Online - Featured by extremely powerful trade and community management system along with large scale of end game player involvement. I mean... in other games, when people say "WAR" they are just referring to gangster headbashing routine involving at most 40-50 people  trying  to gang up and kill another side. In Eve, when they say "WAR"... It means war... Megacorporations throwing couple of thousand ships into muliple strategic battles. The developer also shown promising future as well.

- WoW - It is an easy game, do not take as much time as FFXI and quest pacing is very good. You have both options of playing alone and joining group activiies. It is also developed by Blizzard which is a very promising developer as well.

What do you like the best about the game?

Above should have explained everything...

What do you not like about the game?

The universe is extremely hostile, you have to watch out for every kind of threat all by yourself all the time. GMs do not work this game like others, they had already created instruments like contracting and colletral to prevent scam. However, whenever you choose to bypass those systems and trust someone, GMs will not responsible if you had been cheated. I would like to see the world that people live better life than reality but EVE disappointed me in this aspect.
